Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 69 calls from Dec. 31, 2024, to Jan. 6, 2025.
The calls included: Dec. 31
Deputies responded to Poplar tribal housing when a reporting party wanted two people removed from a house because they were intoxicated. A deputy found one person in the house. The female left on her own.
Deputies responded to Fort Kipp to help a man who was laying in the street after falling out of his wheelchair. He was assisted back into his residence.
Jan. 1
Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a domestic situation. Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice also responded. The male who was causing the disturbance was taken to the Poplar hospital and then to the tribal jail.
Deputies received a report of pickup being driven recklessly and knocking down a trash can in Poplar tribal housing. The vehicle couldn’t be located.
Deputies and the Wolf Point Police Department received a report of a missing person. An adult male relative said he was north of Wolf Point and his vehicle broke down. Deputies couldn’t find the man, who later turned up safely.
Jan. 2
Deputies assisted the Wolf Point Police Department with a domestic abuse case. It was reported that the suspect was possibly located in Brockton, but the suspect couldn’t be located.
Jan. 3
Deputies responded to an address in Poplar regarding a reported stolen boat. The case remains under investigation.
Deputies responded to the Poplar airport addition regarding an adult male causing a disturbance. The reporting party didn’t respond when law enforcement knocked on the door.
Jan. 4
Deputies received a report of harassment in Bainville by one male regarding another male.
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to a report in Fort Kipp of one female family member trying to stab another female family member. The suspect left the area.
Jan. 5
Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a domestic violence report. FPTDLJ also responded. Devyn Lizotte, 22, was charged with endangering an unborn child: substance abuse (alcohol).
Jan. 6
Deputies received a complaint from a Culbertson resident that someone had parked and possibly backed up into his boat.
