Red Hawks Lose In Savage

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks fell short in District 2C basketball play in Savage on Saturday, Jan. 18.

In the girls’ game, Savage gained the upper hand in the second half and took a 45-33 victory.

The Warriors led by only an 18-17 half-time margin but outscored Froid/Lake, 16-4, in the third quarter.

Leading Savage to the victory were Aspen Peterson with 19 and Cambry Conradsen with 15 points.

Savage’s boys pulled away for a 74-31 win.

After a 17-14 lead in the first quarter, Savage increased the gap to 38-18 in the second period. Savage led 54-26 after three quarters of play.

Rylan Young scored 15 points to lead the Red Hawks. Also scoring were Roberto Orozco with six, Joseph Robertson with four, Carson Kelm with four and Jacob Nordlund with two.

Savage’s top scorers were Sayer Erickson with 23, Hunter Sanders with 15 and Zane Pilgeram with 12 points.

The Red Hawks will travel to Plentywood on Friday, Jan. 24, and host MonDak on Saturday, Jan. 25.
