Wolf Point High School senior Keeley Blount-Henderson has been playing basketball since she was 5 years old and she still loves the sport.

She explains that she started to play at the young age under the instruction of her uncle, Richard Blount. “He introduced me to basketball,” Blount-Henderson said.

Her cousin Brenna Blount began playing at the same time. They are now teammates on Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball team.

“It’s been a long time,” Blount-Henderson said of the relationship. “She’s like my sister.”

Blount-Henderson has earned second team All-Conference honors in both basketball and volleyball for the Wolves. Her goals this basketball season are to earn All-Conference and All-State honors.

Basketball highlights have included qualifying for the state tournament as a sophomore and playing in tip-off tournaments.

She also enjoyed a successful flag football season as a senior.

She has attended school in Wolf Point throughout her life.

“I like that me and my classmates have grown up together,” Blount-Henderson said. “It’s home.”

Her favorite class is statistics during the second period of the day. “I like all my classes,” she said.

Her favorite teacher is William Larsen. “He’s a good person to talk to. He knows how to joke around,” Blount-Henderson said. She plans to play basketball at the collegiate level and major in human biology. She wants to become a chiropractor.
