Baker Likes Serving Community As Officer

Frank Baker Jr. is enjoying his role as a Wolf Point Police Department’s officer.

The Wolf Point native has served in the position for about two months.

“I’ve always had an interest in law enforcement,” Baker said. “I like to play my part in helping the community.”

He usually works the midnight to 8 a.m. shift, and he says he prefers working nights.

“I’ve been learning a lot,” Baker said.

He probably will start attending Montana’s police academy in a couple of months.

Because he is so busy at work, Baker doesn’t have time for any outside hobbies.

“This is about all I do,” he said. “It’s a lot to learn, so it takes up most of my life. It’s a lot, but I’m enjoying it.”

He is also pleased that he is staying home in Wolf Point. “It’s a plus, definitely,” Baker said.
