Cowboys Post Victory Over Fusion

The Culbertson Cowboys outscored Richey/Lambert in each quarter to capture a 63-28 road victory on Friday, Jan. 24.

Culbertson gained a 10-5 lead in the first quarter and increased the gap to 30-18 at the half.

The Cowboys ran off 19 points in the third quarter to grab a 49-21 advantage.

Leading Culbertson’s attack were Bridger Salvevold with 17, Plenny Williams with14 and Dawson Bergum with 10 points. Also scoring were Gavin Deen with eight, Mark Kirkaldie with five, Aden Drake with four, Cal Steppler with three and Kaden Featherston with two.

Top scorers for the Fusion were Beau Mullin with nine and Curtis Mullin with eight points.

In the girls’ game, the Fusion took control in the first half and downed Culbertson by a 60-41 final.

The Fusion gained a 22-2 lead in the first quarter and held a 32-6 half-time advantage.

Culbertson scored 16 points in the third quarter and added 19 more points in the fourth quarter.

Leading the Cowgirls were Emma Berwick with 15 and Ayden Ator with 11 points.

Rounding out the scoring were Leandra Perkins with four, Kalia Featherston with four, Payton Labatte with three, Ivy Colvin with two and Bella Petersen with two.

Keira Rains accounted for 30 points including hitting five three-pointers for the Fusion. Jolee Klempel finished with 15 points.
