Culbertson Speech Team Wins Divisional Title
The Culbertson speech and drama team spent two days competing at the divisional tournament in Froid over the weekend. Fifteen schools and more than 130 students took part in the two-day competition.
“Our team brought home two more trophies to add to the walls of CHS,” coach Jeri Gustafson said. The speech team placed first in Class C speech sweepstakes and the drama team placed third in Class C drama sweepstakes.
Placing and qualifying for the state competition to represent Culbertson in Billings with Josie Simonsen with a first in memorized public address, Harrison Green with a first in impromptu, Peyton Jahns with a second in program oral interpretation, Felixe Becker, second in original oratory; Colt’n Rees, third in memorized public address; Harper Anderson, third in dramatic solo; Kaylee Kohl, fourth in dramatic oral interpretative; Jaxon Flinn, fifth in informative; Sublime Cady, sixth in dramatic oral interpretation and Emma Henry, who took eighth in humorous solo.
These students will leave Thursday morning for Huntley Project/ Billings for the 2025 state tournament.
