Nyquist Foundation Announces Grant Recipients

The Thomas and Corinne Nyquist Foundation is excited to announce the recipients of the 2025 grant awards in the communities of Bainville, Culbertson and Froid.

This year’s recipients include: Bainville Bulldog Booster Club: $1,000 toward a hamstring curl machine for use by high school students and community members.

Culbertson Museum; $1,000 toward cement work to seal a new door to the museum.

Northern Lights Park, Froid; $1,259 for a picnic table.

Roosevelt County Fair; $2000 toward electrical updates in the fairground barns.

The Thomas and Corinne Nyquist Foundation is a family foundation formed in 2004 to provide small grants for local initiatives of nonprofit organizations and groups in the three communities of Bainville, Culbertson and Froid in Roosevelt County and in New Paltz, N.Y. In addition, the foundation funds a yearly essay contest in Culbertson and Froid and scholarships in Bainville.

Grant applications for projects to be funded in 2026 will be due by Nov. 1. The application form can be found on our website www.nyquistfdtn. org. Those who wish to support to the cause may give donations at any time - also on our website - to the general fund or earmarked for the grant, essay, or scholarship programs.

Initially founded by Tom Nyquist, who passed away in December of 2019, the family board of the Nyquist Foundation are dedicated to continuing his legacy through the good works of our family foundation. Board members include Lynn Nyquist, chair, Amy Bergstraesser, vice chair, Jenna Bergstraesser, treasurer and publicity, Megan Nyquist, secretary, Jonathan Nyquist, member at large and Corinne Nyquist, member emeritus.
