Poplar Man Dies From Crash Saturday
The Williams County, N.D., Sheriff’s Office reports that a 20-year-old Poplar man was a fatality victim during a crash that occurred on Saturday, Feb. 1, in Williston.
According to the report, Paul FourBear was traveling westbound on his 2020 offroad motorcycle on Second Street W, approaching the intersection of Second Avenue W. An eastbound 2004 Ram 1500 was making a turn onto Second Avenue W. The driver of the Ram failed to yield to the motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle died at Trinity Hospital in Minot, N.D.
The driver of the Ram 1500 — identified as 46-yearold Maverick Stanton from Williston by the Williston Herald — was arrested for driving under the influence. Stanton was uninjured in the crash, which occurred at 5:14 p.m. CT.
Agencies responding included the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Williston Police Department, Williams County Sheriff’s Office and Williston Fire and Ambulance.
