Lady Wolves Lose Home Game Against Harlem
Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball team lost at home in conference action against Harlem by a 58-29 margin on Saturday, Feb. 8.
The Wolves opened the game with a basket by Kashlyn Speak Thunder, but Wolf Point then fell behind.
Two free throws by Keeley Blount-Henderson and a free toss by Speak Thunder kept the Wolves close at 9-7. A three-pointer by Gracie Sanchez helped Harlem take a 17-5 lead at the end of the opening quarter.
Ahead by a 25-13 margin, the Wildcats ran off the last 10 points of the second quarter for a 35-13 lead at intermission.
A three-pointer by Speak Thunder and the scoring of Ameliya Doney were highlights for the Wolves in the third quarter. Wolf Point trailed 46-19 at the end of the quarter.
Wolf Point’s Amaya Martinez scored eight points including hitting two three-pointers in the final period.
