Lustre Teams Take Dodson

The Lustre Lions entertained their home basketball fans with two victories over Dodson on Friday, Feb. 7.

Lustre’s boys posted an 8026 conference win.

After leading 19-13 at the end of the first quarter, the Lions exploded for 23 points in the second quarter for a 42-17 lead.

Lustre added 26 more points in third quarter for a 68-24 advantage.

Top scorers for the Lions were Joel Reddig with 20, Prestyn Klatt with 17 and Johnslee Pierre with 10 points.

Also scoring were Cam Reddig with eight, Clay Reddig with six, Nathan Fast with five, Byron Ewing with five, Kayden Charette with three, Hadden Olfert with two, Chris Traeholt with two and Diek Olfert with two.

Junior Sitffarm scored 10 points for Dodson.

In the girls’ game, the Lions posted a 55-26 victory.

Lustre jumped out to a 21-6 lead in the first quarter and held a 31-6 half-time advantage. The Lions enjoyed a 47-9 lead after three quarters of play.

Leading the Lions were Lauryn Holzrichter with 11, Hannah Brown with eight and Kencia Brown with eight points.

Also scoring were Jaden Gibson with seven, Ashlyn Traeholt with five, Abby Olfert with four, Lauren Fast with four, Samantha Neufeld with four, Sidney Klatt with two and Justice Byers with two.

Precious Stiffarm tallied 11 points for Dodson.
