Senior Profile Summers Appreciates Opportunities In Wolf Point

From speech and drama to golf, Wolf Point High School senior Ryver Summers has enjoyed her time in various activities during her four years at the school.
Summers placed eighth in informative during the recent state speech and drama meet held in Huntley Project. As a team, the Wolves took fourth in drama.
“I’m very happy with how they all did,” Summers said of the showing.
She has also liked acting in school plays. Her favorite performance was Arsenic and Old Lace.
“There’s a lot of memories behind that play,” Summers said. “It was a fun play all together.”
In the music department, Summers has played the trumpet for seven years. She has earned “I” ratings at music festivals for trumpet trio, choir, woodwind trio and a solo performance.
“I’ve always liked playing instruments more, but I do enjoy singing a lot too,” Summers said. She is looking forward to her fourth year golfing for the Wolves. She laughs that she has made “small improvements” during that time.
Her favorite class is drama, and her favorite teacher is Jacob Boysun.
“I like Jacob a lot. I like the plays although things get stressed near the end,” Summers said. She has known Boysun since she was 5 years old. “He cares for his students a lot. He’s a good teacher.”
After high school, Summers plan to attend Montana State University and study music education and music technology. A goal of hers is to compose music for movies and video games, but will also consider becoming a music teacher.
