Indians Fall To Glasgow In Semi-final Round
Poplar’s boys’ basketball squad suffered a 62-48 loss against Glasgow during the District 2B tournament’s second round on Thursday, Feb. 20.
Glasgow held only a 21-20 lead at the end of the opening quarter, but the Scotties increased the margin to 39-28 at the half.
Poplar battled back to 45-39 in the third quarter. The Scotties accounted for 17 points in the fourth period to earn the victory.
Top scorers for the Indians were Blake Lambert with 14 and Kaniel Ricker with 12 points.
Rounding out Poplar’s scoring were Dane Moran with eight, Walker Burshia with six, Wilder Bearcub with five and Bostyn Azure with three points.
Leading Glasgow were Cade Hudyma with 18 points, Myles Yoakam with 17 and Nick Solorzano with 12 points.
Hudyma had 10 rebounds for the Scotties.
