Missouri River Country Seeks Board Members

Missouri River Country is looking for enthusiastic individuals passionate about tourism promotion to serve on its board of directors There are currently positions open.

Board members play a crucial role in boosting local economies, promoting events, and attracting visitors to northeast Montana. This is a great opportunity to represent your community and contribute to the region’s tourism growth. In addition, Missouri River Country is now accepting applications for its Cooperative Marketing Grant Program, available to nonprofit tourism organizations in Northeast Montana. These funds support marketing projects designed to bring in visitors from outside the local area, helping to grow tourism and extend traveler stays.

The Cooperative Marketing Funds operate on a 50/50 matching basis, with Missouri River Country covering half of the marketing costs. Funded through state bed tax dollars, this grant program is offered annually through an application process.

About Missouri River Country Missouri River Country is Montana’s northeastern tourism region, covering Garfield, McCone, Phillips, Valley, Sheridan, Daniels, Richland and Roosevelt counties, as well as the Fort Peck Reservation. The organization is managed by a board of directors appointed by County Commissioners, Chamber of Commerce, or any other Missouri River Country board member.
