MonDak Ag Days Planned For March 6-7

The MonDak Ag Days and Trade Show is scheduled for March 6-7 at the Richland County Event Center in Sidney.

The eduction schedule for Thursday, March 6, features LYREC line safety at 9 a.m., inoculant and nitrogen for soybean and drybean production at 10 a.m., current status of wheat steam sawfly integrated pest management at 11 a.m., forage options and management at 1 p.m., tools and technology to help Montana ranchers and farmers deal with extreme weather at 2 p.m., opportunities to leverage tech in beef cattle production at 3 p.m., Montana cattle committee update at 4 p.m. and cattle traceability roundtable discussion at 4:30 p.m.

Education schedule for Friday, March 7, includes combating white hold in the MonDak region at 10 a.m., protecting Montana crops: addressing old and emerging insect pest challenges at 11 a.m. and corn in irrigated cropping systems at 1 p.m.

The demonstration scheduled on Thursday, March 6, features financing for young and beginning farmers at 10 a.m., informed irrigation decisions at 11 a.m., Farm Bureau, Farmers Union, Montana Stockgrowers debate at 11:30 a.m., PTO safety at 12:30 p.m., careers in ag panel discussion at 1 p.m., in-depth insights into the biological, physical and chemical properties of the social baseline at 2 p.m. and legislative panel at 3 p.m.

Demonstrations on Friday, March 7, will feature bovine dystocia and correction at 10 a.m., Northern Pulse Growers Association update at 10:30 a.m., Sidney FFA at 11 a.m., Rathbun Equipment introduction at noon and strategic solutions at 12:30 p.m.

A pitchfork fondue is planned for March 6 with a pre-social at 5:30 p.m., and dinner at 6 p.m.
