Four Arrested Regarding Suspected Homicide

The Fort Peck Tribal Law Enforcement reports that four individuals have been arrested as persons of interest in the homicide death of Gifford Standing.

The four arrested are Abrianne Deserly, Calvin Lester Jr., Michael Menz and Dillon Wetsit.

Area law enforcement officers responded to a report of a deceased individual in an abandoned Wolf Point house on Wednesday, Feb. 26.

A call was received at 12:36 p.m. from a female who reported that someone told her there was a deceased person in the house, located on First Avenue South.

The male was identified as Gifford Standing. An autopsy was conducted on Friday, Feb. 28.

Agencies responded to the call were the Wolf Point Police Department, Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice, Bureau of Indian Affairs and tribal criminal investigators. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is also participating in the investigation.
