Annie Walter
Annie D. Walter, 83, of Prairie Elk Colony died March 5, 2025.
She was born on July 19, 1941, to Darius and Rebecca Hofer at Cranford, Alberta, Canada. She lived at the Lakeside Colony for 15 years.
She then moved to Walsh, Alberta, where she lived until she married Darius Walter on June 14, 1964. Together, they raised nine children at Surprise Creek Colony. She resided there until 2006, she then moved to Prairie Elk Colony, near Wolf Point in June 2006 where she resided until her death.
She was a hard worker all her life. No task was too hard for her. She loved to cook, garden and sew and knitting was her favorite hobby. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life. She was a people person and enjoyed company.
She loved to go for rides with Darius to look at the crops and, in the summertime, she loved to sit outside and soak up the sun.
She is survived by her nine children, Dan, Terry, Benny, Annie Marie and Bill, all of of Prairie Elk Colony, Sally, Becky and Linda, all of Surprise Creek Colony, and Debbie of North Harlem Colony; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Min Dan, Joe and Sam, all of Arm River Colony; and sisters, Katie and M. Susie, both of Flat Willow Colony.
