Bearcubs Drop Final Game Against Richey/Lambert
Frazer’s girls’ basketball season ended with an 86-47 defeat against Richey/Lambert during the Eastern C divisional tournament in Sidney on Thursday, March 6.
The outside shooting of Maci Fourstar-Sibley and Isabelle Fourstar kept the Bearcubs close in the first quarter, but the Fusion led 28-17 at the end of the opening period.
The Fusion on the scoring of Jolee Klempel and Brynne Hill struck for eight of the first 12 points of the second quarter. Fourstar-Sibley scored for the Bearcubs.
Richey/Lambert went on to take a 51-28 half-time lead.
Fourstar-Sibley tallied three points early in the third quarter. Ahead by a 57-31 margin, the Fusion accounted for the game’s next 16 points. Richey/Lambert held a 75-36 advantage at the end of the third quarter.
Frazer’s top scorers were Fourstar-Sibley with 22 and Baily Beston with 13 points.
Rounding out Frazer’s scoring were Isabelle Fourstar with five, BriAnna Beston with three, Audrey Smoker with two and Elli Mail with two points.
Baily Beston had six rebounds and two steals. Fourstar-Sibley had three assists.
Top scorers for the Fusion were Klempel with 23, Keira Rains with 16, Hill with 16 and Tayen Carda with 15 points.
Hill finished with five assists. Klempel grabbed seven rebounds.
