Wolf Point Planning School Election

There will be four positions open for the Wolf Point School District board of trustees this year. District 1 needs one trustee for a one-year term to complete the term vacated by Keith Higgins, District 2 needs one trustee for a three-year term, District 4 needs one trustee for a two-year term to complete the term vacated by Cody Larson, and District 6 needs one trustee for a threeyear term.

Maps of the districts are available on the school website at www.wolfpointschools. org .

District 1: Robert Manning was appointed by the board of trustees on Nov. 11, 2024, to hold the position until the May 2025 election. This position will be open for election of a trustee to complete a one-year term. Manning is eligible to file as an incumbent candidate.

District 2: Roxanne Gourneau was elected for a threeyear term that is set to expire this year and this position will be open for election of a trustee for a three-year term. Gourneau is eligible to file as an incumbent candidate.

District 4: Michael Holen was appointed by the board of trustees on July 8, 2024, to hold the position until the May 2025 election. This position will be open for election of a trustee to complete a two-year term. Holen is eligible to file as an incumbent candidate.

District 6: Sarah Copenhaver’s one-year term is set to expire and this position will be open for election of a trustee for a three-year term. Copenhaver is eligible to file as an incumbent candidate.

The annual school election will be held Tuesday, May 6, by mail ballot.

The trustee declaration form is located on the Wolf Point Schools website at www.wolfpointschools.org or by going to Wolf Point School District page, Our District, School Board Information and is also available at the School District Administration Office located at 400 Fallon Street. Completed forms can be filed with the district business manager/ election administrator at the Wolf Point School District Office, 400 Fallon Street, Wolf Point, MT. Forms must be filed prior to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 27.

Ballots will be mailed Thursday, April 16, by the Wolf Point School District. Voted ballots can be mailed back or dropped off at the Wolf Point School District Office, Ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, May 6.
