Hercules A Hit With Audiences During Culbertson Shows

Missoula Children’s Theatre’s local production of Hercules was enjoyed by audiences at the old armory in Culbertson this past weekend. The local cast performed two shows on Saturday, at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. respectively. The production featured local students in a variety of roles. The show was adapted by Michael McGill and Joseph Martinez, with music and lyrics by Mc-Gill.
Culbertson’s Tessa Rumsey is passing the baton after serving as master organizer for local MCT productions since 2018. Rumsey brought the MCT shows back to Culbertson after the touring company stopped producing in east Roosevelt County.
“I was in MCT in high school,” Rumsey told the Community News. She said she initially got involved in bringing the company back to town to help provide opportunities for her children. As the years went by, she said she stuck with it out of commitment to the community and recurring cast members.
“It’s fun to get to know some of the kids on another level,” Rumsey said. She said that Jaclynne Taberna, Ava and Emma Henry and Harper and Paisley Strauna showed commitment and growth during her tenure.
Rumsey said Ashlee Anderson will take over her role with MCT in 2026. “I’m really excited to see next year’s show,” Rumsey said.
