Ken Gregoy Clampitt, 65, of Wolf Point died March 8, 2025.

He was born Oct. 3, 1959, to Frank and Joan Clampitt. He was a very mischievous, loving child. He was always taking things apart to see how they were made. He kept his parents on their toes and his siblings’ childhood full of adventure.

He attended school in Frazer and obtained his G.E.D. He attended Fort Peck Community College and graduated in 2008 with a truck driving and heavy equipment degree. z He was a BIA firefighter for 19 years. As a crew boss, he took crews out and fought fire in every state in the western half of the U.S. He was also sent to Texas to help with the recovery of the space shuttle Columbia in 2003. He worked for many farmers and ranchers, including Butch Andresen. He held many different jobs in his lifetime: in construction, as a cook, A& S Industries and in security. One of his favorite jobs was when he worked for Head Start. His latest job was as a custodian for the Wolf Point Schools, a job he held for 10-plus years and retired from in 2023.

He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching all his nieces, nephews and grandkids in all their endeavors; whether it be sports or academics.

He truly treasured all his family and friends and loved family gatherings. He was one of the most generous caring people. He would always help out whenever he could. He would give his last dollar or the shirt off his back if he thought it would help.

He loved animals and also loved his coffee and visiting sessions.

He is survived by his sister, Joan Todd; numerous grandchildren; and adopted brother, Tyrus.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and Charles; grandchildren, Brayden and Callie; and his adopted brothers, Simon and Big Erv.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 14, at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Burial was at King Memorial Cemetery in Wolf Point. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel assisted with the arrangements.
