Five Culbertson High School students qualified for the national Business Professionals of America conference during the state competition in Billings last week.

Advancing from Culbertson were Jazzmin Fugere, Leandra Perkins, Ayden Ator, Ivy Colvin and Felixe Becker.

Perkins placed second in network administration using Cisco, fifth in SQL database fundamentals and eighth in Linux operating systems fundamentals.

Ator earned fourth in SQL database fundamentals and sixth in network administration using Cisco.

Fugere took fifth place in server administration using Microsoft, seventh in Linux operating systems fundamentals and eighth in SQL database fundamentals. Colvin placed fourth in parliamentary procedure concepts, fourth in Linux operating systems fundamentals, eighth in management, marketing and human concepts and ninth in extemporaneous speech.

Becker earned third place in digital media production and eighth place in financial math and analysis concepts.

Delyla Douglass took sixth place in Linux operating system.

Payton Labattte placed seventh in SQL database fundamentals.

Froid’s Lilly Johnson and Haven Martensen each captured state titles. Johnson earned top honors in advanced spreadsheets. Martensen was the champion in intermediate Word.

Froid’s Macie Elvsaas placed second in advanced office systems and procedures.

Isabelle Nordwick earned third in basic office systems and procedures. The broadcast news production team earned fourth place. Also placing fourth were Addison Elvsaas in administrative support research project and Allysa Johnson in fundamental desktop publishing.

Earning fifth were Roberto Orozco in advanced Word processing, Brooklyn Nordwick in advanced office systems and procedures, Leah Murray in basic office systems and procedures and the global marketing team.

Taking sixth were Joelle Davidson in fundamental Word processing and Jordyn Breuer in intermediate Word processing, Milo Stangeland placed seventh in advanced desktop publishing. Cody Olson took seventh in intermediate Word processing.

Placing eighth was Martensen in office systems and procedures. Placing ninth were Murray in intermediate Word processing and Eli James in fundamental desktop publishing. Vala Gregor was 10th in ethics and professionalism.

Bainville High School’s chapter also enjoyed great success at the state competition.

Earning first place and qualifying for the national conference was the administration support team featuring Cora Theige, Evan Anderson, Isabelle Anderson and Owen Theige.

Placing second and qualifying for nationals were Addison Hansen in parli-pro, Elsie Wilson in parli-pro, Isabelle Anderson in integrated office, Rowan Wilson in parli-pro, Rylan Iverson in parli-pro and Tally Berwick in parli-pro.

Taking third and advancing to nationals were Cora Theige in integrated office and Berwick in ethics and professionalism.

The economic research team of Hansen, Elsie Wilson and Berwick placed fourth.

Berwick earned fifth place in parli-pro concepts. Rowan Wilson took sixth in interview skills. Taking eighth were Aydson Telck in integrated office and Iverson in parli-pro concepts.

Bainville also had three members receive their Statesman Torch award, one of the highest honors for leadership and service in their communities. Those recipients were Elsie Wilson, Tally Berwick and Addison Hansen.

The Bainville Middle level also had many participants with several trips to the stage during awards night. Participants were Logan Telck, Charlie Johnston, Janae Wheeler, Annalyce Sorenson, Brooke Wineinger, Blake Reed, Eleanor Iverson, Madisson Blakely, Scarlet Mahoney and Sophie Portra.
