City Still In Progress Of Selling Homes
The City of Wolf Point is still working on the details regarding the sale of two new homes in the community.
Last December, the homes, which are located near Southside Elementary School, arrived in the area through funds that came from a grant from the Montana Department of Commerce through the assistance of Great Northern Development Corp.
Wolf Point Mayor Chris Dschaak said, “Currently, we are waiting on gas hook-ups from MDU.”
Dschaak has said that the hope is to sell the properties to a tax-paying entity to put the lots onto the tax roll.
The mayor explained requirements for the low income housing. Maximum adjusted home income limits are $48,100 for one person, $55,000 for two persons, $61,850 for three persons, $68,700 for four persons, $74,200 for five persons, $79,700 for six persons, $85,200 for seven persons and $90,700 for eight persons.
Profits made from the sale must be put into other efforts to provide additional housing in Wolf Point.
