Lions Place At First Track Meet Of Season

The Lustre Lions opened their track season with an indoor meet in Williston, N.D., on Saturday, March 22.

Lustre’s girls placed third in the team standings with 51 points while Lustre’s boys took fourth with 58 points.

Lauryn Holzrichter led Lustre’s girls with second-place efforts in the triple jump and 60-meter hurdles. Sidney Klatt finished second in the 1600.

The 800-meter relay team featuring Holzrichter, Jaden Gibson, Klatt and Justice Byers.

Byers fnished third in the 400 and 800. Klatt placed fourth in the 800.

Holzrichter took fourth in the long jump. Ashtyn Traeholt was sixth in the javelin.

Prestyn Klatt finished first in the 1600 for the boys’ division. The sophomore placed third in the 800.

The 800-meter relay team of Yoseph Lee, Diek Olfert, KJ Brown and P. Klatt finished second.

Mason Hilkemann placed second in the shot put and fourth in the javelin.

Olfert took second in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump.

Kayden Charette was sixth in the triple jump, sixth in the javelin and eighth in the long jump. Jacob Rigby took seventh in the 200.
