The Culbertson Cowboys earned third place with 78 points at a track meet in Sidney on Thursday, March 27. The top two teams were Sidney with 179 points and Glendive with 161 points.

Reese Moon led the Cowboys by taking first in the long jump at 20-7, third in the 100 at 11.64, third in the 200 at 23.91 and fifth in the triple jump at 36-0.

Brooks Solem placed third in the 110-meter hurdles at 19.68, third in the triple jump at 36-11, fifth in the javelin at 126-5 and fifth in the 300-meter hurdles at 49.31.

The 400-meter relay team featuring Harrison Green, Ian Snyder, Mauricio Mena and Moon finished second with a time of 47.58 seconds.

The 1600-meter relay team of Snyder, Cal Steppler, Mena and Aden Drake took fifth at 4:06.78.

Gavin Deen took third in the javelin at 127-8 and fourth in the shot put at 38-5.

Plenny Williams was fourth in the discus at 134-4.

Bridger Salvevold finished fourth in the 200 at 24.30. Snyder placed sixth in the 100 at 11.92 and sixth in the 200 at 24.94.

Green took fourth in the 400 at 58.71. Steppler took fifth in the 800 at 2:29.78. Drake took sixth in the 110-meter hurdles at 20.00 and sixth in the 300-meter hurdles at 50.63.

In the girls’ division, Culbertson scored seven points for seventh place. Sidney topped the standings with 144.5 points.

The Cowgirls finished fourth in the 1600-meter relay with a time of 5:41.97. Running the relay were Stella Fox, Bella Petersen, Serenity Wilbanks and Rebekah Ellerkamp.

Emma Berwick took fifth place in the discus at 807. Ayden Ator had a best of 84-2 in the javelin for sixth place.

Culbertson will travel for a meet scheduled in Fairview on Friday, April 4.
