Poplar Teen Dies In Vehicle Crash
A 17-year-old Poplar male died from injuries received in an one-vehicle accident on Saturday, March 29.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 7:58 p.m. on BIA Route 1/BIA Route 131 in Poplar. The driver was traveling eastbound on BIA Route 1 and lost control of his Chevrolet Impala. He drove off the left side of the roadway and overturned several times. The driver was ejected and pronounced dead on the scene.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports that alcohol and speed are suspected factors of the crash.
