Promoting Beef

During Sen. Daines’ recent trip to China, he held bilateral discussions with Vice Premier He Lifeng where he emphasized the need for China to allow the renewal of facility registrations for 350 American establishments whose licenses to export beef expired on March 16. Since China allowed these certifications to expire, U.S. beef sales to China have been reduced by 92 percent. These facilities, most of which were registered after President Trump’s U.S. China-Economic and Trade Agreement (Phase One) was brokered and signed, are critical for Montana producers to access key markets like China.
