Mary Drake has officially started as the new librarian for the Culbertson Public Library. She told the Community News that she’s happy to be taking over, “It feels good to be in a room full of books,” she said. “I’m looking forward to getting to know more members of the community and learning about what interests them.” Drake will be supported in her role by assistant librarian Emma Pederson.

At press time Monday, Drake and Pederson were planning a noontime coffee and treats session for Thursday to mark National Library Week. Check the library’s Facebook page or call 406-7875275 for more information.

New fiction titles in at the library for April include the following titles: Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros, Battle Mountain by C.J. Box, Blood Moon by Sandra Brown, Far From Home by Danielle Steel, Tartufo by Kira Jane Buxton, Black Woods, Blue Sky by Eowyn Ivey, How To Sleep At Night by Elizabeth Harris, Mask of the Deer Woman by Laurie L. Dove, The Heart Of Winter by Jonathon Evison, Motheater by Linda H. Codega, Isaac’s Song by Daniel Black and We Could Be Rats by Emily Austin.

New young adult fiction includes I Am Not Jessica Chen

by Ann Liang and Dust by Alison Stine.

Nonficiton titles include Van Gogh Has A Broken Heart by Russ Ramsey, How To Share An Egg by Bonny Reichert, The Harder I Fight The More I Love You by Neko Case, The Containment by Michelle Adams, Buy What You Love Without Going Broke by Jen Smith and Blood and the Badge by Michael Cannell.
