Pierre Runs To Two Victories


Johnslee Pierre posted two winning performances during the Sidney Invitational held on Friday, April 18.
The junior raced to firstplace showings in the 110-meter hurdles at 16.24 seconds and 300-meter hurdles at 41.7 seconds.
Lustre’s boys’ track team tallied 20 points for eighth place in the boys’ division.
Diek Olfert placed ninth in the long jump with a mark of 18-2.
Personal bests for Lustre’s boys at the meet included KJ Brown in the 100 and 200, Olfert in the 200, Wheeler Damboise in the javelin and long jump and Jacob Rigby in the long jump.
Lauryn Holzrichter scored two points for Lustre’s girls by placing fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 53.96 seconds.
Other personal bests for Lustre’s girls were Justice Byers in the 100 and 200, Holly Hilkemann in the 800, long jump and javelin, Ashtyn Traeholt in the discus, shot put and javelin and Holzrichter in the long jump.
