The Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire at an apartment complex on the corner of Custer Street and Second Avenue South at around 3 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25. Numerous firefighters and several trucks fought to battle the blaze and keep neighboring residences safe as flames destroyed the building. Evans Receives Hedstrom Award


Montana Highway Patrol trooper T’Elle Evans of Wolf Point was recently awarded at the state level for her heroic actions. She received the Hedstrom Award for going above and beyond the call of duty when she attempted to save a life using her first responder skills. Sgt. Erickson Resigns As Superintendent

Erickson Resigns As Superintendent


Loverty Erickson has unofficially resigned as the Wolf Point superintendent of schools. According to an email to staff members, Erickson is on the Family Medical Leave Act time until Aug. 30. Trustees Approve Budgets For Year


Trustees approved the elementary and high school final budgets during the Wolf Point School board meeting held on Monday, Aug. 8. The total for the elementary budget is $5,227,363 compared to $5,084,754 in 2021-2022. The total was $5,281,632 in 2020-2021. A grand opening for the new playground equipment at Borge Park and a Back to School Blast will run from 4:30-7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, at the park.
