Montana students have been selected to receive the Reach Higher Montana Scholarship for use in the 2021-2022 academic year. Scholarships must be used at accredited Montana colleges (two-year, four-year, public, private, tribal, and vocational institutions).
Area students selected to receive $1,000 scholarships included: Jacob Martin, a Culbertson High School graduate attending Montana State University;

Bigger Sky Kids received confirmation last week that the after school organization has received a grant from the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation in the amount of $23,550. According to BSK president Char Matejovsky, the award will fully fund Cathryn McIntyre’s class in studio art for three years, starting in fall 2021 and continuing through spring 2024.

Bigger Sky Kids received confirmation last week that the after school organization has received a grant from the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation in the amount of $23,550. According to BSK president Char Matejovsky, the award will fully fund Cathryn McIntyre’s class in studio art for three years, starting in fall 2021 and continuing through spring 2024.

All 14 Montana Dinosaur Trail Partnership trail facilities were able to open in 2020, but with shortened seasons and limited capacity. Facilities hosted 262,704 visitors, with over 40 percent from outside Montana. Visitor numbers were down 27 percent from the 2019 record of just under 360,000, Makoshika State Park enjoyed its best year to date with 128,000 visitors, a 50 percent increase.
