Someone broke into a residence and stole some property.
Deputies responded to a crash on Montana Highway 16 between Froid and Culbertson. Also responding were the Montana Highway Patrol, a fire department and an ambulance. The female driver didn’t suffer any injuries.

In 2022, Gov. Greg Gianforte proposed a property tax rebate for Montanans for their primary residence and signed it into law in March 2023. The rebate provides Montanans up to $675 of property tax relief on a primary residence in both 2023 and 2024.

The annual conference will take place at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center. Centenarians will be honored during a luncheon from noon to 1:30 p.m.

The James E. Shanley Tribal Library in Poplar and the Tribal Elves are hosting a carnival with live music, refreshments and family activities Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Fort Peck Community College Great the Dawn Auditorium lawn in Poplar.

A second day of fun is planned for Aug. 9 in Wolf
