Roosevelt County commissioners decided to hold off on the purchase of new radios for the sheriff’s office until additional funds are in hand. Commissioners made the decision during their weekly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 5. The sheriff’s office was requesting five radios for a total cost of $30,350. The Town of Culbertson hosted a retirement party for David Dean Dec. 30. Town clerk/treasurer Tiffani Jasper told the Community News that Dean joined the town in his role handling maintenance issues in 2012. She said he handled a garbage route for the town prior to 2012.
