The Roosevelt County Fair in Culbertson has announced dates, schedules and entry information for the 2021 event, marking a return to form following impacts to last year from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. According to organizers, the theme for this year’s fair will be “Big Dreams In A Small Town.” The fair website states, “Our initial theme for 2020 was ‘Big Dreams In A Small Town.’

Montana Youth Challenge Academy Holds 44th Commencement A commencement ceremony for Class 44 of the Montana Youth Challenge Academy took place June 12 at Vigilante Stadium in Dillon. Seventy-nine cadets were acknowledged for their completion of the program. Area graduates include Chaske’ Bearsghost, Isabella Jones, Slade Kirn, Emalee Vargas, Luthor Iron Cloud of Poplar and Eithan McKay

The Montana Department of Transportation has announced and is seeking public comment on a proposal to improve the intersection of S 344 and MT 16 in Froid. Proposed work will include the installation of new signage including stop signs, stop ahead signs, and intersection warning signs at this intersection. The purpose of the project is to address a crash trend identified at this intersection.

To the Citizens of Roosevelt County: This is in response to Bill Juve’s Letter to The Editor on June 24, 2021. In that letter, Mr. Juve accused me of protecting the commissioners. First, it is not my duty to protect the commissioners. The commissioners can protect themselves. Second, I don’t know exactly what Mr. Juve believed I said or did to protect the commissioners?
