Ashton Stovern, 24, of Sidney, has been confirmed as the fatality in a July 28 accident on the BNSF mainline near Brockton. The train collided with a semitruck in the morning hours, killing Stovern, who was driving. The semi was hauling gravel at the time of the accident. The Post 49 Bulls scored one victory and came close in the semi-final round during the district baseball tournament held in Billings. Issac Johnson pitched a gem to lift the Post 49 Bulls over the Billings Cardinals, 2-1, to open the district baseball tournament in Billings on Thursday. Johnson threw all seven innings for the victory. He allowed just four hits and struck-out three batters.
