The Froid Town Council held it’s regular meeting Monday, June 14. Mayor Sheri Crain was absent. Council member Gale Stangelund called the meting to order at 6:30 p.m. Visitors were acknowledged by the council. Clerk LeAnn Krumwiede Johnson read the minutes from the April meeting and the council approved them. The public works director was absent but reported that mowing is now underway

The Keystone XL Pipeline is officially history as TC Energy announced last week the decision to terminate the project. The project, which aimed to carry oil from the tar sands of Canada into the United States, had its permit revoked by President Biden in January.
