Brush Lake State Park To Remain Closed Until May 15


Brush Lake State Park, Region 6’s only state park, is not yet open for day-use or camping, and will remain closed through May 14, opening on May 15. Normally, the park is open May 1 to Nov. 1. All seven of Roosevelt County’s COVID-19 cases are listed as recovered, according to Patty Presser of the Roosevelt County Health Department. County Cupboard Distributing Groceries In Culbertson


The County Cupboard food bank in Culbertson was open for their first grocery distribution Tuesday, April 28, from 3 to 5 p.m. outside the county building in Culbertson. The organization is a non-profit focused on ending hunger in Roosevelt County. Board members include Culbertson notables Rick Knick, Laura Christoffersen, Genny Nordmeyer, Travis Featherston, Dixie Berwick and Ashlee Anderson.

CHS Seniors Honored With Banners On Broadway


Valli Hauge told the Community News that Bridgett Featherston came across the idea for hanging signs along Broadway Avenue to recognize area senior class members from Culbertson High School. “Bridgett Featherston had found a school online that was hanging signs,” said Hauge. “I got tagged in the post as a senior parent and thought it would be a great way to recognize our seniors.”
