Despite challenges presented by the pandemic, Miss Montana Jessica Criss has been traveling in the region, focusing on stops at smaller schools where social distancing is possible. In normal times, Criss’ travels would involve big audiences at school assemblies. Gerald “Jerry” C. Hagadone, 88, died Oct. 10, 2020, at Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions in Casper, Wyo. He was born on Sept. 20, 1932, to Thorwald and Helen Hagadone in Culbertson. The family lived just outside of Poplar, where Jerry met Joan Norgaard. They married Nov. 22, 1954. He worked in the oil industry, starting with drilling rigs then moved into the production side. Red Hawks Advance With First-Round Playoff Victory


In their first football playoff game in about 15 years, the Froid/Lake Red Hawks were ready to roll. Froid/Lake earned a 26-0 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a 56-6 first-round playoff victory over Broadview/ Lavina on Saturday, Oct. 24. “It was huge,” senior Issac Johnson said of the win for the team and community. “It was a long time coming.
