Lady Wolves Defeats Poplar, 51-37


A strong ending in the first half and an outstanding third quarter lifted Wolf Point’s girls over Poplar, 51-37, on Tuesday, Feb. 16. After a three-point play by Rikki Belton pulled Poplar to 23-17 late in the half, the Wolves responded with four quick points on a pair of free throws by Hamyanie Campbell and a basket by Campbell, after a steal by Josie Kolstad, for a 27-17 lead. Poplar’s boys’ basketball squad played excellent for the first three quarters and then held off Wolf Point, 64-60, for a conference win in Wolf Point on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
