The Wolf Point School board unanimously approved the rehiring of school administrators during a special meeting on Tuesday, April 27.
Recommendation by acting superintendent Jim Baldwin and approved were Georgie Gourneau as Northside principal, Greg Gourneau as junior high principal, Kim Hanks as high school principal and Sarah Chambers as director of curriculum and instructional leadership.

By a 2-1 vote, Roosevelt County commissioners agreed to continue with their safety contract including having Nancy Hamilton as the county’s safety officer.
Being involved in the safety contract with Valley County will cost Roosevelt County about $24,000 a year. Sheridan County was previously a part of the contract but recently decided to drop out.

that agencies and resources from across the state were deployed to fight a large fire originating east of Poplar April 30. The fire jumped the Missouri River near Brockton Friday. Fire containment efforts continued in Roosevelt and Richland counties continued over the weekend. Approximately 4,997 acres burned, said Olson.
