Wolf Point Boys Drop Opening Home Contest Against Sidney


Wolf Point’s boys’ basketball squad put together a solid first quarter, but the Wolves fell at home against Sidney by a 64-44 final on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Zandon Calder, a 6-5 sophomore, led the Wolves to a quick 4-2 lead in the contest. The Wolves increased the margin to 8-5 on a drive by Richard Campbell and a hoop by Calder off an assist from Jett Azure. A three-point play by Sean Hamilton

A hot shooting Poplar team posted a 67-39 non-conference victory in Culbertson during boys’ basketball action on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Down by a 13-8 margin at the end of the opening quarter, Culbertson fought back to 13-2 on four straight points by Dawson Bergum to begin the period. Poplar Defeats Cowgirls By 57-31 Margin


Poplar’s girls’ basketball squad took control in the middle two quarters to earn a 57-31 non-conference victory in Culbertson on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The Indians jumped out to a 13-4 lead in the first quarter. Braelyn Nordwick scored five points in the period. Poplar increased its advantage to 27-15 at the half. A pair of three-pointers by Bailey Dupree highlighted Poplar’s scoring.
