Team Repeats At Governor’s Cup
The team of Jason Eggebrecht and Ross Lien did it again. They repeated as champions of the Montana Governor’s Cup Walleye Tournament in Fort Peck during the weekend.
Eggebrecht of Fort Peck and Lien of Glendive, formerly of Savage, earned first place with a total of 74.47 pounds. Last year, Eggebrecht and Lien had a combined two-day total of 80.97 pounds which gave them a new Montana Governor’s
Runners Compete In Human Stampede
Peyton Summers and Karolyna Buck were among the winners during the Human Stampede run held in Wolf Point on Saturday, July 10.
Runners and walkers gathered at Sherman Park in downtown Wolf Point Saturday morning for registration with the 5K starting at 8 a.m. and the mile walk/run started at 8:30 a.m.

Yellow Jackets Prepare For Home Games
The Wolf Point Yellow Jackets accounted for a strong defensive effort in their 6-2 home loss against the Billings Cardinals on Wednesday, July 7.
Pitchers Canyon Casterline and Preston Swenson combined on a solid pitching combination for the Yellow Jackets.

Championship Hitters
The Wolf Point girls’ softball squad earned the northeastern Montana championship during the eight-team major tournament held in Plentywood.
The Yellow Jackets knocked off Plentywood, 9-5, in the tournament’s title contest on Wednesday, June 30. Wolf Point went through the tourney undefeated.
Highlights of the game included a home run by Kylie Rodenberg and a double by Katelyn Macdonald.

Golfers Participate In NEMHS Tournament
Area golfers took to the links to have a good time and benefit area health care during the NEMHS’s 24th annual golf tournament held at the Wolf Point Airport Golf Club on Saturday, June 26.
Tournament manager Rodney Paulson, who is also a director of the NEMHS Charitable Foundation, was pleased with the turnout of 18 teams.
This year’s tournament was dedicated to the memory of Sharon
Peewee Baseball Play
