The Frazer Bearcubs feature six players this boys’ basketball season. Team members include Cassius Smoker, Gabriel Beston, Zeyden Hentges, Chase Jackson, Bryce Fourstar and Ronald Roundface. With four returning starters along with other key contributors, Froid/Lake’s girls’ basketball team looks for a solid upcoming season. The returning starters for the Red Hawks include senior Mara Salvevold, senior Addison Elvsaas, senior Brooklynn Nordwick and sophomore Isabelle Nordwick. B. Nordwick was an All-Conference selection and Salvevold was a second team pick last season.

Poplar High School senior Navarjo Escarcega is excited that he will be continuing his wrestling career after his high school days. Escarcega signed his letter of intent on Wednesday, Nov. 13, to wrestle at the University of Jamestown in North Dakota. “I felt like it was the right fit for me,” Escarcega said. “It’s a great coach, a great facility.” He is undecided on his major.
