Poplar’s wrestling squad enjoyed success during the Scottie Invitational held in Glasgow during the weekend. In the girls’ division, Blake Follette won the title at 114 pounds. She pinned Malta’s AJ Marquis in 1:13 during semi-final round action. Follette then pinned Harlem’s Cyla Adams in 4:46 in the title match. Angelina Escarcega placed second at 107 pounds. She dropped a 4-1 decision

In a game featuring two Eastern C boys’ basketball powerhouses, Lustre Christian fought off Froid/Lake, 67-42, during the Scobey Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 9. The Red Hawks were very competitive in the contest’s first half as a three-pointer by Mason Dethman pulled Froid/Lake to 20-16 with 4:08 left in the half. Lustre, however, responded with the final 12 points including three-pointers
