Poplar native Jazmin Gorder has earned recognition to the All-Academic Team of Excellence for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Gorder is a sophomore at Minot State University in North Dakota and is majoring in nursing. She competes for the Beavers in cross country and wrestling.

Minot State freshman Jasiah Hambira cleared 6 feet, 7.75 inches in his collegiate debut on Saturday, finishing second in the men’s high jump at the Marauder Indoor Opener and writing his name into the Minot State record books from day one. Following a round of public comment sessions held by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, the Fish and Wildlife Commission will consider an amendment at its Dec. 14 meeting to remove a special chronic wasting disease hunt area and associated licenses in northeast Montana.
