Wolf Point posted a 2412 softball win over Poplar during home softball play on Sunday, June 8. After the first inning ended in a 7-7 deadlock, the Yellowjackets shut down Poplar in the top of the second behind the pitching of Marley Moran. Area runners fared well at the Bear Paw Marathon held in Havre on Saturday, June 7. Peyton Summers finished first in the half marathon with a time of 1:13.26.3. Reilly Rees placed sixth with a time of 1:34.39.7. Sierra Summers earned top honors in the women’s marathon with a time of 3:18.24.7.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is developing a new Statewide Mule Deer Management Plan and recently held public workshops around the state to hear from the public. FWP still wants to hear from people who care about mule deer management but were unable to attend a workshop. Those folks can go to FWP’s website and leave a comment here. FWP will be taking public feedback through June 27.
