Poplar’s volleyball squad opened its season at a tournament in Malta on Saturday, Aug. 31. During pool play, the Indians dropped two close matches. Poplar fell to Chinook by a 17-25, 21-25, final. The Indians then lost to Fairview by a 2425, 23-25, margin. In bracket play, the Indians lost to Harlem, 24-24, 21-25. The Indians will play home against Fairview on Thursday, Sept. 5, and

Wolf Point’s Sierra Summers has signed to compete in cross country and track at Dawson Community College in Glendive. During her high school career, she ran for the Wolf Point Wolves and Frazer Bearcubs. Summers recently earned six gold medals at the Big Sky State Games. Her victories included in the half marathon, 5K, 800-meter run, 1500, 400 and 200. She will be joining her brother
