Lustre Girls Lose To Circle


Lustre’s girls’ basketball team lost to Circle by a 61-6 final during loser-out play at the District 3C tournament held in Wolf Point. The Wildcats jumped out to a 26-4 lead in the first quarter and held a 39-6 half-time advantage. Circle led with a 53-6 advantage at the end of the third quarter. Scoring for the Lions were Lauryn Holzrichter with four and Sidney Klatt with two points.

Frazer’s eighth-grader Bri-Anna Beston accounted for 36 points in the team’s 69-66 opening-round District 3C tournament victory over Lustre, but her most important points came in the contest’s final minute. Wolf Point’s boys’ basketball team enjoyed excellent shooting in the first half and fought off Poplar, 56-50, to end the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 15.
