Four players from the state champion Froid/Lake Red Hawks have been selected to the Eastern C All-Conference six-man football team. Red Hawks selected included senior Issac Johnson, senior Colt Miller, junior Ashdyn Hobbs and freshman Mason Dethman. Bainville’s junior Jesse Strickland was also voted to the All-Conference team. Froid/Lake senior standout Sydney Dethman was one of eight District 1C players voted to the Class C All-State team this season. Dethman led the Red Hawks to a second-place showing in the district for both the regular season and for the district tournament. Plentywood, which placed third at the state tournament, had junior Liv Wangerin, Donn Longan and Ashtyn Curtiss as All-State selections.

The high school basketball season will start a little earlier than anticipated and there will be a high school wrestling season, according to a news release from the Montana High School Association last week. The MHSA earlier announced that basketball games won’t start until the week of Jan. 4, 2021. Now, it’s been changed the games can be held on Jan. 2, 2021. Schools are allowed to schedule
