Nancy J. Gilbertson, 68, of Williston, N.D., died Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, at her home. She was born in 1952 to Herbert and Martha (Herzog) Wiese in Ortonville, Minn. She grew up on the family farm in Big Stone County where she attended Country School District #133 (#14) and graduated from the Ortonville High School in 1970. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris in 1975. That same year, she married Laurell Taylor in Sisseton, S.D. They resided in Chamberlin, S.D., and Plentywood, where they managed group homes. In 1989, she married Gary Gilbertson in Sidney and they resided in Culbertson. For the last 30 some years, she resided in Williston, N.D., where she worked at Bethel Homes in the dietary department. She is survived by her sisters, Tessa Mahoney of Appleton, Minn., and Tami Plank of Gayville, S.D. She was preceded in death by her son, Joel Taylor; husband, Gary Gilbertson; and brother, Terry Wiese. No services have been planned as of presstime. The Everson Coughlin Funeral Home of Williston is caring for the family.
