The business, formerly B& S Laundromat, is offering its famous broasted fried chicken, along with a wide array of breaded mushrooms, onion rings, gizzards, mozzarella sticks and other appetizers. According to Montana Electric Cooperatives’ Association Chief Operating Officer Lea Potoczny, the group’s latest international program project, Big Sky to Bolivia, is currently in full swing. Linemen from participating electric cooperatives, including NorVal, McCone Electric Cooperative and Sheridan Electric, traveled to Villa Cotoca, Bolvia, recently to help install an electrification project.

Montana Democratic gubernatorial candidate Whitney Williams has added northeastern Montana farmer Milo “Buzz” Mattelin as her lieutenant governor running mate. She spoke to reporters at a press conference in the capitol March 2. Mattelin is president of the National Barley Growers Association. He operates a barley, wheat and sugar beet farm west of Culbertson along the Missouri River. Williams

Cowgirls Lose Out In Two At Divisional


The Culbertson Cowgirls ended their successful basketball season with two losses at the Eastern C divisional tournament held in Glasgow. Culbertson fell to District 2C champion MonDak, 52-24, in the opening round. The Cowgirls stayed close in the first half. MonDak led 9-7 at the end of the first quarter and 20-12 at intermission. The Thunder accounted for 16 points in the third quarter

Froid/Lake Lady Red Hawks Lose One, Win Two At Divisional In Glasgow


The Froid/Lake Red Hawks accounted for an impressive performance to win the consolation championship game over North Country, 54-36, at the Eastern C girls’ basketball tournament in Glasgow on Saturday. The Red Hawks, who lost to North Country by a single point in the opening round, jumped out to an 18-10 advantage in the first quarter as freshman Baylee Davidson led the attack with two three-pointers.
