The Froid/Lake Red Hawks came through as winners in a boys basketball battle against Richey/Lambert on Saturday, Jan. 18. Deadlocked at 63-63 at the end of regulation, the Red Hawks scored 10 points in overtime for a 73-71 win over R& L. The Red Hawks led 19-15 at the end of the first quarter but the game was even at 31-31 at the half. Froid/Lake moved ahead 49-47 in the third quarter.

Culbertson's basketball squads swept all four of their games against Circle and Ray, N.D., during the weekend. The Cowgirls opened the weekend with a 35-34 victory in Circle Friday, Jan. 17.
